Somewhat inspired by manga and anime where people disintegrate into shards and petals upon death, or they can do so at will as a sort of elemental form. It's a cool visual effect, and I think it came out better than I had hoped. Maybe this whole "daily practice" thing is paying off! Of course, the idea of drawing every single petal individually was daunting, but then I remembered that you can do amazing things with digital art, like precision-lassoing, copy-pasting, and flipping layers around. Truly we live in an age of miracles.
